The Peruvian Government is committed to building a new hospital in Andean city of Jauja and has the necessary resources for the endeavor, President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski affirmed on Monday.
Addressing the local population, the Head of State noted "the [project] file, land and doctors are already available," and assured the required investment would be provided as well.
First Vice-President Martin Vizcarra, as well as Ministers Bruno Giuffra (Transport and Communications), Marilu Martens (Education) and Eduardo Ferreyros (Foreign Trade and Tourism) join the President.
The 78-year-old leader carries out a number of activities in Jauja.
Earlier today, he supervised renovation works —covering runway, aircraft platform and passenger terminal— at the
local airport.
He also inspected San Jose de Jauja school facilities, which were built with the support of the National School Infrastructure Program.
Afterwards, Mr. Kuczynski will overfly the Central Highway's Junin-La Oroya-Ticlio 380-km stretch to check on its conservation state, as well as the construction of alternative routes.
