The President of Peru Ollanta Humala took part in the ceremony marking the inauguration of the concluded improvement works on the Fernando Belaunde Terry Comprehensive Educational Center.
The building is located in Cayna district belonging to Ambo Province (Huanuco region).
The said project, worth S/. 4,275,678 (about US$1.30 million), will benefit 112 high school students.
Work consists of three blocks, where five classrooms, an administrative area, teachers’ room, educational resource center, kitchen-dining and multi-purpose rooms, among others were built.
Likewise, the building was equipped with tables, chairs, desks for teachers, shelves and computers.
Education Minister, Jaime Saavedra, and other authorities attended the event.
