The overview of the current administration's first 100 days comprised concrete actions implemented in various areas, such as citizen security, project unblocking and fight against corruption, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski affirmed today.

Said measures include the capture of 297 wanted criminals, as well as the immediate removal of former presidential Health advisor Carlos Moreno upon finding out alleged unethical businesses run by him.

“The subject under suspicion was removed from office on the very first day. Other governments took months, but we did it in a single day. The [Presidential] Integrity Commission is something we had planned to do either way, and it is underway,” he stressed.

In response to criticism to his 100-day overview from opposition Congressmen, the Head of State highlighted his message included over 300 adopted measures.

To illustrate his point, he restated the resumption of 170 halted water and sanitation projects throughout the country, set to benefit one million Peruvians.

In this respect, the top official emphasized the “many unblocked projects.”

“We have to carry on like this, 'debureaucratizing' things […]. These are concrete facts; these are not intentions, those are things we have done,” he pointed out.

President Kuczynski oversaw road works in Pisco (Ica region). He was joined by Prime Minister Fernando Zavala, as well as first Vice-President also Transport-Communications Minister Martin Vizcarra.
