President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Friday affirmed Peru relies on a more favorable economic environment to boost greater growth during his second year in office, starting on July 28.

Likewise, the President assured his administration will achieve the expected "social revolution" to benefit the Peruvian people.

While analyzing his first year running the country, the Head of State recognized the impacts of Coastal El Niño phenomenon and Lava Jato (Car Wash) scandal affected Peru's economic growth earlier on.

However, he assured his second year in office will be better due to the Reconstruction with Changes, water and sanitation services implementation, as well as greater exports.

"There are frustrations, but there are also achievements [...] there is also a very positive factor. In fact, the environment for our exports is increasingly improving, especially when it comes to mining, fishing and agro-exports," Peru's top official said.

"I still believe that what we call a social revolution will indeed become a reality," he added.

Remarks were made at the National Agreement session held at Lima's Government Palace.
