Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski extended greetings to Venezuelan women taking to the streets on Saturday with the purpose of defending their country's democracy.
"I hereby extend a fraternal greeting from Peru to Venezuelan women, the heads of family who want the best for their country, women who want democracy, human rights and progress, who will lead a peaceful demonstration tomorrow," he said.
In a video, Mr. Kuczynski affirmed "his thoughts are with them" and, while they are against foreign meddling in Venezuela's national affairs, they do believe in democracy for Latin America.
"It’s the solution to many of our problems," he added.
After describing the fellow Latin American nation as a "big-hearted country," Peru's Commander-in-Chief reiterated his support to the peaceful mobilization led by women on this occasion.
"I’m with you. I have faith that Venezuela will achieve the dialogue and progress it deserves," he stressed.
