President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski condemned the terrorist attack that claimed lives of three police officers in Peru, plunging the National Police and the whole country into mourning.
Via Twitter, the statesman assured the investigation will continue until those responsible are found.
Moreover, he conveyed his deepest condolences to the victims' families affected by such a cowardly attack.
Three policemen died when their patrol vehicles were ambushed in Paucarbamba district, located in Huancavelica region.
The attack was perpetrated on Wednesday at about 6:00 PM (local time).
According to Traffic and Road Safety Department head Jorge Lam, one of the vehicles was shot and the other was set on fire.
