Peru: Natural disaster death toll rises to 85

The number of lives lost to torrential rains, overflows and floods lashing the country has further jumped to 85, Peru's National Emergency Operations Center confirmed on Friday.

According to the latest data, natural disasters have left 111,283 victims, 672,892 affected citizens and 153,329 damaged homes.

Concerning Lima, there are a total of 6 dead people, 6,096 victims, 17,795 affected citizens, and 7,599 homes became uninhabitable. 

Heavy rains are expected to continue thru-mid April.
