Anticorruption Prosecutor Hamilton Castro Trigoso will lead the Public Ministry's special team that will investigate Odebrecht bribes to Peruvian officials, Attorney General Pablo Sanchez informed on Monday.
Said commission will rely on the knowledge of expert accountants, engineers, economists, as well as IT support and administrative personnel.
"All of whom will be duly selected," Sanchez noted.
The official affirmed the Public Ministry will be firm in its investigations into Odebrecht's graft and denied knowledge of parties involved.
He stressed the Prosecutor's Office carries out a thorough, careful work, but continues to progress "firmly and surely."
Likewise, Sanchez underlined the Public Ministry will not tolerate any sort of pressure, and investigations will take place in an autonomous, impartial and independent manner.
He added the Public Ministry does not object to any kind of investigation at other levels and, should Congress re-open the case on previously investigated facts, the Prosecutor's Office will facilitate the necessary information.
