Peru names new Consul-General in Seville, Spain

The Executive Branch has appointed Foreign Service Minister of Peru, Gonzalo Alonso Zapater Vargas Quintanilla, as Peru's Consul-General in Seville, Kingdom of Spain.

Appointment was made official by a recently-published resolution that authorized the issuance of Letters Patent.

A subsequent vice-ministerial resolution will set the date on which the diplomat will officially take up duties.

Also, a different document notified the termination of functions of Lucia Cristina Trindade Diaz de Buitron, scheduled for July 30, 2017.

She will be transferred from the Consul-General's office in Seville on July 31 to serve in Lima's Foreign Affairs Ministry.
