15:37 | Tacna (Tacna region), Apr. 26.

At least 30,000 tourists are expected to arrive in southern Tacna region to attend Peru, Mucho Gusto 2017 gastronomic fair taking place on Labor Day holidays (April 29-May 1).

According to the country's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru), Chilean travelers will account for 15% of total visitors on the occasion.

The State-run organization highlighted the fair becomes an excellent opportunity to showcase the best of the Inca nation's gastronomy, as well as to promote national regions as tourist destinations.

Thus, foodies will be able to enjoy dishes from 21 regions at the event.

In addition, the festival will feature the best restaurants, traditional eateries, bars and pastry shops, among others.

The mentioned feast will be organized by PromPeru in partnership with Tacna Provincial Municipality.

It must be noted Peru was named —for the fifth time— the planet's Leading Culinary Destination by World Travel Awards (WTA) in 2016, consolidating as a top gastronomic destination.
