In July, Peru's non-traditional exports amounted to US$852 million.
Metal-mechanic and non-metallic mining sectors' production shipments increased by 10.4% and 0.2%, respectively.
With regard to metal-mechanic products, exported value climbed from US$42 million to US$46 million in the analyzed period.
Growth was possible thanks to mobile phones shipments, which climbed from US$500,000 to US$3.7 million; other telephone sales amounted to US$2.3 million.
Non-metallic mining product exports increased given calcium phosphate shipments, which increased by 23%; and those of automobile safety glasses (162%), which offset the decrease in Portland cement sales (16.3%).
Fishery product sales to overseas reached US$76 million. Fisheries sector exports declined due to lower volume of fish meal exports (-19.3%), which was offset by increase in fish oil sales (79.6%).
Traditional exports
Mining sector exports totaled US$1.327 billion. Zinc shipment saw a growth (62.4%).
Finally, between January and July 2015, export destinations by trade blocs were: APEC (56.3%), European Union (16.6%), remaining non-grouped countries (15.7%), Andean community (7.2%) and others (4.2%).
