Peru launches new promotional campaign under country brand

Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (Promperu), through Peru's country brand Marca Peru, launched a new promotional campaign as part of its efforts to spread Peruvian food on a global basis.

"El Sabor de la Victoria" (the Taste of Victory) campaign is aimed at boosting Peru's position in the culinary scene and making Peruvians more proud of their heritage. 

The video was filmed on March 28 during the Peru-Uruguay match at Lima's National Stadium, which ended in a 2-1 win for the Incas. 

The short film portrays Uruguayan fans giving up to Peruvian food and forgetting about the game as they start to sample different traditional dishes.

Uruguayans were able to enjoy the typical ceviche (raw fish marinated in citrus juice and spices), lomo saltado (Peruvian style beef stir fry), suspiro a la limeña (caramel and liqueur meringue dessert) and turron de Doña Pepa (nougat). 

Delicacies were prepared by a group of chefs named "Generacion con Causa" (Generation with Cause) including Alejandro Acuña (Lima Sabrosa), Enrique Paredes (Barrakhuda), and Renato Lopez (Sumaq), among others.
