A total of 500 German tourists will arrive in Southern Ilo Port on board a cruise ship on March 13, the city's Provincial Mayor William Valdivia informed.

Afterwards, tourists will visit other Peruvian cities.

They will be divided in two groups: one group will visit regions Moquegua, Puno, Cusco and Arequipa, whereas the other one will stay in Ilo for five hours.

Some measures are being taken to promote the city's attractions in light of the upcoming tourist flow, the mayor said.

On March 6, Valdivia will hold a meeting with Moquegua's Foreign Trade and Tourism Regional Management officials to coordinate actions.

Said measures are aimed at providing a good service to visitors and the cruise company.

Likewise, the construction of a new cruise terminal is expected, in order to help invigorate the region's economy.
