14:48 | Lima, Nov. 15.

Peru's soccer team on Wednesday held an unexpected training session prior to the decisive World Cup qualifying playoff match against New Zealand in Lima tonight.

In this sense, the national squad left Swissotel facilities in San Isidro district and headed to the National Sports Village (Videna).

It is worth mentioning Peruvian fans gathered outside the hotel to see the athletes and take pictures of them.

Likewise, a group of supporters was waiting for the team's arrival at Videna and showed them the largest national soccer t-shirt manufactured by fans.

It must be noted the last-minute training session is part of coach Ricardo Gareca's traditions to relieve pressure prior to the game.

The decisive match

Peru and New Zealand saw a 0-0 draw in Wellington last Saturday.

The final match will kick off at Lima's National Stadium tonight at 9:15 PM (local time).

In case the Inca squad defeats the All Whites in such clash, Peru will be the last team to qualify for 2018 FIFA World Cup.
