The Peruvian Central Government and representatives of regional governments are meeting today, within the framework of the 5th Executive Branch and Regional Governors Meeting (GORE-Executive).
The gathering takes place at 27 de Enero Convention Center in Lima's San Borja district and will run thru Tuesday, August 22, according to official sources.
Peru's Prime Minister Fernando Zavala affirmed this new session is intended to discuss the country's 2018 General Budget draft.
In earlier statements, on the other hand, National Assembly of Regional Governments (ANGR) head Luis Valdez said the meeting will focus on the role of
transparency in regional and local processes, mainly in the "
Reconstruction with Changes."
