Development and Social Inclusion Minister Fiorella Molinelli reaffirmed her portfolio's commitment to improving poor and vulnerable citizens' quality of life, as well as promoting exercise of their rights, access to opportunities and development of skills.
The minister joined President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski during a meeting with minors held in Lima's San Martin de Porres district on Monday morning.
At the event, the cabinet member noted the Government intends to put the fight against both —anemia and child malnutrition— on the country's political agenda, in order to achieve a true social inclusion.
She noted her sector works hard to control, prevent and reduce anemia from 43% to 19% by 2021, relying on the support of social programs and interventions, which are currently implemented in various regions of the country.
President Kuczynski, Minister Molinelli and other authorities participated in the exchange of ideas with pupils from Fe y Alegría 2 School, with the purpose of identifying opportunities to improve the living conditions of this segment of society.
