Peru's Executive Power will submit a bill to enable the Health Ministry (Minsa) to implement actions in response to situations that might put people's health at risk, as is the case of Zika virus among others, Minister Anibal Velasquez Valdivia informed.
Valdivia indicated that this project will also allow the sector to overcome legal obstacles restricting the National Health Authority from allocating resources, deploying personnel and responding to non-emergency situations across the country.
Thanks to this regulation, the national authority —along with regional governments— will be able to join efforts aimed at enhancing the risk management chain nationwide.
