The National Commission for the Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) delivered laptops, computers, printers and several technological equipment worth over US$ 100,000.
Those are intended to equip the radio interception bases located in the jungle areas belonging to Madre de Dios and Ucayali regions.

A technical intelligence station for the Operations Commando at the Las Palmas Air Base (Lima) will also be implemented.

The delivery of informatics-equipment was financed in the framework of the ‘Integrated Management and Effective Drug Offer Control’ Budget Program in Peru conducted by Devida and the covenant of the inter-institutional cooperation with the Peru’s Air Force (FAP).

In this sense, the FAP and Devida reaffirmed their engagement to fight against drug traffic.

Devida’s Executive President, Alberto Otarola, highlighted the goods and equipment delivery contributes to the improvement of the Air Force services in the fight against drugs 2012 – 2016.

It aims at monitoring and neutralizing the entrance routes to Peru for Bolivian aircrafts, which crew are in charge of illegal drug traffic, he told.
