The Peruvian Finance Ministry authorized a budget allocation of S/.65,871,953 (about US$20,714,450) for the Housing, Construction and Sanitation Ministry with the aim of financing 33 water and sanitation public investment projects.
According to a Supreme Decree, published in the official El Peruano gazette, the resources come from the Development and Social Inclusion Ministry’s portfolio.
According to the regulation, the funds will be merely used for the said purpose.
The water and sanitation investment projects are based in regions Ancash, Apurimac, Ayacucho, Cusco, Huncavelica, Huanuco, Madre de Dios and Puno.
