Fuerza Popular candidate Keiko Fujimori leads voting intentions (53.1%) against rival Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (46.9%), according to the latest Ipsos Peru run-off poll revealed on Sunday.
The study also considers invalid votes, a scenario in which the daughter of jailed former President Alberto Fujimori received 45.9% of support and Kuczynski 40.6%.
According to Ipsos, blank and null votes stand at 13.5%.
Areas
Fujimori obtains 46% of votes compared to Kuczynski (40%) in the nation's capital city of Lima.
In the urban sphere, Fujimori stands at 38%, whereas her rival gets 37% of simulated votes.
In rural areas, the former Congresswoman gets 47% of preference, and the ex-World Bank officer obtains 36%.
Published by El Comercio daily, the latest poll shows that Fujimori and Kuczynski’s rejection rates stood at 43% and 40%, respectively.
As is known, Peru's upcoming presidential run-off election will take place on June 5th, 2016.
