The meeting seeks to strengthen the International Center for the Research of the El Niño Phenomenon (CIIFEN).

Roncagliolo said that then he will travel to Guayaquil to participate in an extraordinary meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) on Sunday.
