16:54 | Lima, Mar. 26.

The wife of President Kuczynski, Nancy Lange, on Sunday requested people to continue sending donations for natural disaster victims to the Government Palace.

As is known, the Andean country is currently at the mercy of torrential downpours and floods that have left many citizens homeless.

Via Twitter, Mrs. Lange deemed sugar, rice, noodles and oats as the most needed products.

The Peruvian President's wife leads the reception of items at the Palace, one of eleven aid collection points in Lima. From there, donations have been sent to emergency areas hit by the onslaught of nature.

Over 300 tons of humanitarian aid were collected until last Friday.

This initiative has been also supported by tens of volunteers and Armed Forces personnel, who are in charge of sorting donations and preparing corresponding food bags.
