The Finance Ministry has authorized budget allocations worth S/.322,632,589 (about US$103.07 million), which will enable to develop four public sanitation infrastructure projects.
According to a Decree published in El Peruano official newspaper, the funds will be transferred from the Health Ministry, in favor of the Agriculture and Irrigation Ministry, Interior Ministry and Lima's regional government.
The resources will be allocated to improve the critical care and external consultation services at the Luis Saenz Police Hospital, S/.292,764,432 million (about US$93.5 million); and at El Estrecho Health Care Center (Loreto region), 21,952,590 million (about US$7.0 million).
The comprehensive strengthening of the response capacity will be enhanced at Supe Hospital thanks to an investment worth S/.4,818,093 million (about US$1.54 million), and at Manzanares de Oyon Health Care Center with S/.3,097,474 (about US$990,000).
The four projects are viable according to the National Public Investment System (SNIP), the SNIP Project Bank and the detailed technical documentation.
Additionally, the funds must be used only for the related purposes, the Decree states.
