Peru's Finance Minister, Alonso Segura, will participate in the 2015 Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting to be held in Paris, France on June 3-4.
The meeting will bring together OECD Members and Partner countries and several international organisations to discuss policies that can help unlock stronger, fairer and greener growth.
This year’s MCM will feature two innovative aspects: Besides plenary sessions, Ministers will also conduct discussions in a breakout group format.
Likewise, Segura will attend the 7th edition of the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean “Better strategies for a Sustainable Development.”
It provides the opportunity to discuss challenges and to share solutions regarding sustainable economic development in the region, OECD added.
Also, the meeting will review the opportunities available, so OECD can continue supporting efforts carried out by governments, in order to fight protectionism and foster the multilateral trading system.
While in overseas, Segura's portfolio will be assumed by the Housing, Construction and Sanitation Minister Milton von Hesse.
