Primary sectors will recover “significantly” in 2015 and boost the country’s economic activity, Peru’s Finance Minister Alonso Segura affirmed.
The Head of the Finance Ministry indicated the domestic demand grew at a rate close to 4% last year.
Nonetheless, the primary sectors "experienced" a decline due to transitory factors, as was the case of the fishing sector, which decreased by 30%.
"In this sense, the primary sectors, which declined in 2014, will rebound significantly [this year]. This will enable to prevent GDP from going backwards,” he assured.
