Peru Fin Ministry allocates over US$736,000 for emergency projects

Peru's Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) authorized a S/.2,413,982 (over US$736,000) transfer from the 2015 public sector budget to the National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) with the aim of conducting emergency projects.

According to the supreme decree 183-2015-EF, the budget is assigned for 11 Emergency Public Investment Projects (PIP) and 17 Emergency Activities in different parts of the country.

Emergency public investment projects will be held in regional governments of Moquegua (8), Cajamarca (1) and Arequipa (2). 

Likewise, the document lists a group of emergency activities such as renting cleaning machinery and restoring the protection service on Yauca River (Arequipa), as well as in Piura (4) and Tumbes (12).
