Peru's Economy and Finance Minister Alfredo Thorne underlined national gross domestic product (GDP) experienced a 3.6% increase in November 2016.

In this sense, GDP saw an accumulated expansion of 4.2% over the last 12 month-period.

"GDP increased 3.6% last November, as we had already foreseen from the Economy and Finance Ministry. There was an increase of 4.2% over the last twelve months," Thorne posted on Twitter.

It must be noted the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) on Monday reported November's GDP growth led to 88 consecutive months of positive results.

Likewise, output increased 3.94% and 4.17% in January-November 2016 and December 2015-November 2016 terms, respectively.

These results were also forecasted by the country's Central Reserve Bank (BCR), which projected Peruvian economy would have grown above 3% last November, mainly underpinned by primary sectors.

According to October estimates, 2016's GDP growth rate is expected to have stood slightly below 4%. However, the economic recovery trend underway remains unchanged.

BCR underlined deregulation measures —implemented by the Government— should promote private investment starting this year, for the benefit of both, major projects and micro and small enterprises (MSEs).

Thanks to such measures, the country's economy would be invigorated.
