Peru's Economy and Finance Minister Alfredo Thorne supervised the delivery of humanitarian aid for natural disaster victims from Lima region's northern Huaral province.

As is known, the Andean country is currently at the mercy of torrential downpours and floods that have left many citizens homeless.

Aid distribution was carried out in coordination with Lima Regional Governor Nelson Chui and authorities of affected areas.

At the site, Thorne was joined by an Economy and Finance Ministry team, as well as representatives of Armed Forces, National Police and Lima Regional Government.

Previously, the high-ranking official traveled to the city of Huacho with the purpose of identifying towns that require government aid.

Likewise, the minister thanked fellow Peruvians for their solidarity and urged citizens to continue supporting the "Una sola fuerza" (A Single Force) campaign by making donations.

In this sense, drinking water, non-perishable food supplies and personal hygiene items are the most needed products.
