Prime Minister Fernando Zavala, the newly sworn-in Economy and Finance Minister of Peru, said economic rebound, employment, and public investment acceleration will be the top priorities under his administration.
Via Twitter, Zavala said he is pleased to head the Economy portfolio
one more time.
"We are experiencing a challenging situation, but we are prepared to deal with it. We all have to move towards the same direction," Zavala stated.
Likewise, he thanked his predecessor, Alfredo Thorne, for his efforts and dedication.
Also, he replied to a welcome message from Congress Chairwoman Luz Salgado expressing his desire to work for the sake of Peru.
Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Friday morning administered the oath to Prime Minister Zavala, who will concurrently serve as new Economy and Finance Minister.
