Peru's foreign sales will experience 15% growth in 2017 compared to the previous year, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros projected.

As is known, the mining sector has been seeing positive results.

On the other hand, agricultural and fishery sectors have experienced the greatest increases when it comes to non-traditional shipments.

Both sectors are expected to help double Peruvian sales by 2021.

Peruvian traditional exports increased 27.7% in the first half of 2017, whereas non-traditional shipments expanded by more than 10%.

According to Minister Ferreyros, textile sector sales grew in July.

The government official said he hopes the industry will keep registering positive figures by end-2017 with the help of the private sector and Production Ministry (Produce).
