Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry introduced on Wednesday a total of 75 tourism products, from 25 regions, before national travel agents and tour operators reunited at the 2016 Regional Tourism Products Workshop in Lima.

From the total 25 projects were successfully introduced in 2014, while the remaining 50 are currently under implementation.

New tourist circuits

According to sector's head Magali Silva, such product development diversifies the national tourism offer by building new tourist-circuits across the country.

The project is currently developed by representatives from both State-run and private sectors.

"Besides supporting tourism offer diversification, these products —under a workshop format— will allow each region to promote their products entry into Lima's trade chain, considered the country's largest market," the minister explained.

National Plan for Tourism Quality

In order to improve quality of tourism services, a series of training sessions are also being developed across regions within the framework of the National Plan for Tourism Quality.
