Senior Humala administration officials showcased the profitable business and investment opportunities Peru offers to 30 top officials from Czech Republic’s largest economic firms, the country’s Foreign Ministry (MRE) said on Monday.

The entrepreneurial meeting was aimed at displaying profitable investment opportunities for Czech businessmen as Peru stands as a center of strategic importance since it offers investors and corporate multinationals prospects for long-term growth.

Attending the gathering was the Vice-President of the Czech Republic’s Economic Chamber, Borivoj Minar, accompanied by the Honorary Consul of the this European nation in Peru.

The event was carried out as part of the one-week seminar titled “Peru Day”, and was held last week in Prague.

Czech Republic’s Economic Chamber brings together more than 14,000 small-scale companies and middle- and large-sized enterprises which account for roughly 66 percent of the economically active population.
