Peruvian Congress Chairman Luis Galarreta on Thursday led activities on the occasion of Parliament's 195th anniversary in Lima.
Along with Congress deputy chairs and ordinary lawmakers, Galarreta participated in the flags-raising ceremony outside the Legislative Power's main building.
Following the ceremony, an official photo was taken.
Afterwards, a solemn session took place. Said meeting saw the presence of First Vice-President Martin Vizcarra, who currently leads the President's Office, as Head of State Pedro Pablo Kuczynski is currently overseas.
The event was also attended by Judiciary Chairman Duberli Rodriguez, Constitutional Court President Manuel Miranda, as well as Women and Vulnerable Populations Minister Ana Maria Choquehuanca, among other officials.
