Peruvian Congress has authorized President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's official trip to the People's Republic of China and his visit to the United States of America, where he will participate in the United Nations General Assembly.

In a plenary session chaired by Congress Chairwoman Luz Salgado, 104 votes in favor, no abstentions, and no votes against granted corresponding permission to the Head of State.

The Peruvian leader will stay overseas from September 10 to 22.

Kuczynski's trip to China will be his first foreign trip since taking power in July 28. This official visit was confirmed in July after a meeting with Chinese Environment Minister Chen Jining in Lima.

In the second part of his journey, PPK will take part in the 71st Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 71) in New York.

While in there, he will attend an event held by the US media.
