Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Monday condemned the terrorist bombing attack in Somalia's capital Mogadishu, which claimed hundreds of lives and many more injured Saturday.

In a release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Peru delivered its deepest condolences and feelings of solidarity to the people and Government of Somalia and, through them, to the families of the victims.

Peru restates its total rejection of all forms of terrorism and violent manifestations. Plus, it reiterates its firm commitment to fully respect international law and human rights standards.

On Saturday, two car bombings left more than 300 people dead and hundreds wounded in Mogadishu.

Local authorities believe the despicable attack was carried out by al-Shabab jihadist group.
