More than 250 artists participated in the “Christmas Gala 2014” held at the Lima’s Government Palace on Sunday night.
Organized by Peru’s Culture Ministry, the event celebrates Christmas a couple days prior to Christmas Eve.
Among the 250 artists are youth musicians and singers from the National Children Choir, the National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Experienced artists from the National Choir and National Folklore Cast also appeard.
“Christmas Gala 2014” is a meeting to connect the audience with the traditional identity through music and dancing.
Impressive performances, dances, music and customs from the Peruvian regions were to be watched and listened.
The presentation was led by Culture minister, Diana Alvarez Calderon. Special guests included: President Ollanta Humala, the Fire Department Volunteer Brigade, among others.
Regular audience was also allowed to enjoy the show from the central square located nearby the Government Palace.
