Peru call up foreign-based players for Trinidad & Tobago friendly

Peru have called-up thirteen foreign-based players for their upcoming friendly game against Trinidad & Tobago in Port of Spain on February 6.

Claudio Pizarro (Bayern Munich), Paolo Guerrero (Corinthians), Juan Vargas (Genoa) and Jefferson Farfan (Schalke) have been named in Peru coach Sergio Markarian's squad for the first friendly of the year.

Other foreign-based players called up by Markarian are keeper Raul Fernández (FC Dallas); defenders Carlos Zambrano (Eintracht Frankfurt), Alberto Rodríguez (Río Ave); midfielders Rinaldo Cruzado (Chievo Verona), Juan Carlos Mariño (Queretaro); and attackers Paolo Hurtado (Paços Ferreira) and Andre Carrillo (Sporting Lisbon).

The friendly match will be used as preparation for March's crunch 2014 World Cup qualifier against Chile.

La Blanquirroja will meet Chile at home on Friday, March 22, at 19:15 local time (24:15 GMT).
