Peru badminton team secures eight medals at international tournament

Peru badminton team had a successful participation at the Fifth Colombia International, tournament held in Medellin, Colombia, where Peruvians grabbed two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

The international series event saw the participation of twelve countries including, among others, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Spain, and the Peruvian delegation that delivered an outstanding performance.

The gold prizes were awarded to Luz María Zornoza and Andres Corpancho (mixed doubles) as well as Luz Zornoza and Catherine Winder (women’s doubles). 

In addition, Andrés Corpancho was granted silver and Mario Cuba took bronze in men’s singles. Daniela Macías and Danica Nishimura, meanwhile, won silver and bronze, respectively.
