Peruvian Armed Forces and National Police members traveled to Piura region's Catacaos and Cura Mori districts to rescue and evacuate natural disaster victims from danger areas.
As is known, the region was lashed by the overflowing of Piura River on Monday morning.
Navy Commander General Gonzalo Rios Polastri affirmed helicopters had been deployed to support relief actions.
Likewise, Rios underlined said State institutions' agents are bringing rescue items, including inflatable boats and life jackets, among other tools.
He went on to add "the priority is to rescue victims."
