Thanks to the Peruvian State-run National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Concytec) 30 low-income women will be granted access to the “Lab Entrepreneurial Initiative Scholarship.”
The ladies they will be trained in web programming. The experience will enable them to count on better tools to perform well in the labor market.
The objective is to provide opportunities to young women, who did not have access to a proper higher education.
In this framework, the youngsters will be trained to become technological entrepreneurs. After concluding classes, the women will be offered internships in digital agencies.
The scholarships were designed for women. Currently, less than 7% of web developers are female in Peru. Thus, it is a great opportunity for the youth to learn about technology.
The event will take place in Arequipa.
