It was not until the 64th minute when Peruvian midfielder Christian Cueva scored the lone goal in Alianza Lima's 1-0 victory over Uruguay's Fenix, which unleashed the madness of fans who were gathering at Alejandro Villanueva stadium as part of the Alianza’s Noche Blanquiazul (White and Blue Night).

This way Alianza Lima presented its team squad for the season with Guillermo Sanguinetti as the head coach.

The team was introduced by Peruvian singer Cecilia Barraza and the journalist Lalo Archimbaud.

The first to come out to the field was Alianza Lima’s goalkeeper George Forsyth.

In addition, the players who received the loudest ovation from the audience were Miguel Araujo, Pablo Míguez, Paulo Albarracín, Mauro Guevgeozián, and the latest recruit Jean Deza.

The Alianza’s Noche Blanquiazul brought together more than 20,000 spectators, who besides the fireworks, also enjoyed a great match against the Uruguayan side.

The rejoicing was even greater when the Peruvian side beat Uruguay’s Fenix 1-0.

This is Alianza’s first win of the year and now players are awaiting their first clash against Huracan of Argentina as part of the Copa Libertadores tournament, scheduled for February 3 at Alejandro Villanueva stadium, also known as Matute.
