Tourist operators from 24 countries have confirmed their participation in Peru Travel Mart (PTM 2017), the main yearly event of inbound tourism promotion to be held on May 5-8 at Lima Convention Center.

Germany, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, United States, France, Japan, Guatemala, India, Italy, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland and Thailand are included in this list.

The National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur) and Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru), co-organizers of this event, forecast that the number of countries interested in learning about and trading the Peruvian tourist offer will increase until the booking deadline (April 9).

Markets with the greatest number of tour operators registered for this PTM include Brazil, Ecuador, France, India and Mexico, while the new participants come from Portugal and Malaysia.

According to Canatur Chairman Fredy Gamarra, 75% of the total booked participants will —for the first time— attend PTM. It shows the great interest our country generates as a tourist destination.

Likewise, he stressed efforts by Peru's Trade Offices Abroad (OCEX) to promote the event, which leads to attracting more buyers.
