A spokesman for the Municipality of San Roman, Alberto Herrera, said event will take place in the areas surrounding Santa Cruz and Tres de Mayo mountains.

The fair will bring together artisans from the Andean departments of Cusco, Arequipa, Ayacucho and Puno as well as from neighboring Bolivia.

Merchants offer tiny replicas of cars, planes, houses, money, food, appliances, furniture, suitcases full of money and other property.

The largest Alasitas fair is held in the capital of La Paz every January 24, when Bolivians buy miniatures representing the material goods they aspire to own and offer them to Ekeko, the God of Abundance.
