No Peruvians among casualties in Munich attack

No Peruvian citizens have been reported among victims or casualties from the terror attack that killed nine people at a shopping mall in Munich Friday night, Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

In a release, the Chancellery explains that, according to the General Consulate of Peru in Munich, information has been confirmed by the German police.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel convened the German Security Council Saturday to address the situation.

The attack at the Olympia shopping center claimed ten lives, including the shooter, and left 16 others injured, according to the Munich police.

A final update posted on its Twitter page reads: "10 dead, including the shooter, and 16 wounded."
