Peruvian cuisine keeps on sweeping up the world as evidenced by the opening of a Nikkei-themed restaurant in Indonesia, Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) informed.

Henshin, which in Japanese means "transformation," is a new rooftop restaurant that offers a new gastronomic concept that fuses Peruvian and Japanese flavors: Nikkei Cuisine.

Perched on the top three floors of Westin Jakarta in Kuningan, Henshin offers amazing panoramic views of the Indonesian capital city.

Since its opening, the place has raised expectations among local diners thanks to its unique culinary and cocktail experience.

Ceviche and tiradito stand out among the must-tries at the highest restaurant in Indonesia.

Henshin also boasts an alfresco rooftop bar featuring specialty cocktails crafted by expert mixologists.

Hajime Kasuga is the restaurant's executive chef. He is a Peruvian man of Japanese descent, living in Peru, and former cook at Hanso restaurant in Lima.

It must be noted two Peruvian restaurants have opened across Indonesia so far this year.
