Tripadvisor —the world's largest travel site— has released its latest ranking of best museums around the globe.
The
full list shows the top 25 museums in the world, including Larco Museum in 22nd place.
This is the first time a Peruvian institution joins the ranking since TripAdvisor established the Travelers' Choice Awards in 2002.
"The museum holds so many artifacts, you might actually get lost. However, not only the collection is amazing—the grounds are stunning [...]," reads one of the many flattering reviews.
In fact, this is the highest honor bestowed by Tripadvisor, a travel site with over 535 million reviews and opinions covering the largest selection of travel listings worldwide —over 7 million accommodations, airlines, attractions, and restaurants.
Users rate and rank top museums, hotels, restaurants and attractions all over the world.
Thanks to Tripadvisor community, the site tops the list of must-sees in Lima and is considered the second tourist attraction after the great Machu Picchu citadel.
