Starting today, Lima will host the 8th Meeting of Latin American and Caribbean Convention & Visitors Bureaus (CVBs)
with the aim of promoting exchange of experiences and knowledge among such regional organizations.
According to the President of the Lima Convention and Visitors Bureau, Carlos Canales, the gathering will see the participation of Miguel Harraca, President of the Latin America and the Caribbean Convention & Visitors Bureaus.
“This will result in a continuous synergy among organizations –in favor of sustainable growth of the region’s meetings tourism sector– as well as in a permanent and professional joint work, training and promotion of destinations,” he explained.
This edition is expected to be more dynamic and feature innovative elements. A big room has been prepared “for the exchange and analysis of subjects that interest and stand out most to organizations and companies in the sector.”
The event will bring together convention bureaus and agencies from Punta del Este (Uruguay), Cartagena (Colombia), Bogota (Colombia), Guatemala, Culiacan (Mexico) and Quito (Ecuador).
CVBs from Valparaiso, Bucaramanga (Chile), San Juan (Puerto Rico), Medellin (Colombia), Paraguay, San Pedro de Sula (Honduras) and Santiago (Chile) will convene as well.
