The burden of more than 35,000 pieces of not museum ceramic and lithic pieces was distributed in 127 boxes, the first of which arrived on Sunday afternoon.

The objects should be stored in the terminal airspace and in the coming hours will be moved to the “Casa Concha”, which houses the two batches sent from Yale in 2011.

Monitoring and Control Director at Peru’s Culture Ministry, Blanca Alva Guerrero, said that this shipment marks the transfer agreement between the Peruvian Government and the U.S. university.

The pieces were removed in 1912 by the scientific expedition that led the American explorer Hiram Bingham and then were taken to Yale on loan.
