The National Election Board (JNE) will officially announce the results of the presidential election runoff and grant Pedro Pablo Kuczynski his credentials as President-Elect of the Republic of Peru.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11am (local time) at Lima’s Municipal Theater facilities.

JNE head Francisco Tavara will also proclaim Martin Vizcarra and Mercedes Araoz as first and second vice-presidents elect, respectively.

These credentials are granted to the President and Vice-Presidents in accordance with article 325 of the Organic Law on Elections and article 5, section j of the JNE Organic Law.

The act will include the reading of the resolution providing final results garnered by political parties Peruanos por el Kambio and Fuerza Popular as part of June 5 runoff.

Tavara will give the inaugural speech in a solemn session and, once credentials have been granted, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will do the same.
