Peru’s President-Elect Pedro Pablo Kuczynski noted the remarkable role of the Pacific Alliance as he believes it is a successful integration initiative that allows member states solve their internal problems with resources from trade exchange transactions.

“I have come to hear the Alliance's conclave at the invitation of Chilean and Peruvian Presidents; this is a successful group whose formation I backed ten years ago,” he recalled.

In statements to the accredited press at the Third Pacific Alliance Business Summit in Chile, Mr. Kuczynski said the platform was created to mark distance with Atlantic-based countries, whose policy is more state-driven.

He stressed the fact that member states have reached different levels of development, something that will help them overcome difficulties arising from each country's reality.

He even highlighted that Argentina is becoming a more investment-driven economy with greater private participation, and less state intervention, despite the fact it is not a member of the Alliance made up of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
